One of my favorite parts of traveling is collecting memories I know will last a lifetime.
For me, this also includes putting together household decor that both looks good and tells my travel stories for me. I put together this list of travel DIY’s you can easily do at home based on things I’ve really done! All of these items can be found in my apartment and helps remind me of where I’ve gone and where I’m going.

Great post 😁
thank you so much!
A lot of great ideas in this post. My partner is OBSESSED with maps and we have drawers full of coins from different countries – I think I know what I’ll be doing with my spare time right now! Thanks 🙂
yay! im glad you liked it and found inspiration from it!
These are all factorsntastic ideas. I love the starfish. The coin magnet is also cool. I’m always coming home with the odd coin that I’ll never use again lol.
thank you 🙂 and the coin magnets were super easy to make! i think i made about 10 of them
I’m going to do that with the coins I have. I can never find magnets lol.
Love these ideas! I always buy magnets when I go somewhere new but I haven’t found a great way to display them yet so my fridge is just covered with them haha
haha i love that! i always make sure to grab a keychain before i leave a place and I have a hanging shelf that i display them on 🌍
We’ve stopped buying souvenirs and started buying useful objects … ones that aren’t going to end up on a shelf and need dusting! On our recent trip to France, where we ate loads of cheese, I was on the search for a nice looking cheese knife. We went to flea markets in Paris to try and find one, but no luck. 🙁
I totally get where you’re coming from – but that’s so sad to hear you didnt find what you were looking for!
I am totally amazed and inspired by your creativity. There are some great ideas here. My favourite is the coin wall art – so many coins from our travels that just sits in a jar and no-one sees it. With your idea, our travels is an opportunity for others to admire. Thank you.
iI’m so happy you liked it ❤️ and yes let me know if you try it out!
I love the money frame! I keep meaning to do something with my leftover coins! so maybe I”ll finally get around to it! I also have a map addiction <3 haha Great ideas!
thank you so much! and yes, let me know if you try it out 🙂
Wow I love this! I have a bunch of random tickets that would go easily into the keepsake album that you suggested!
