For this post, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite travel quotes. Traveling is a part of me, it makes me who I am. And whenever I’m feeling sad about not being in a foreign land, my secret pick-me up is to read inspiring travel quotes.

  1. I’m not a big fan of quotes in general, but I can appreciate the point. And in the end I o agree on what they want to say.

  2. I think #8 is so true. Because as humans we always compare and traveling is no different. I think travel makes us more cultured, tolerant and understanding of ourselves and others.

  3. This is such good quotes…. #2 is a quote I mention to alot of people who don’t travel. “The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page.” …. Travel is a great knowledge.

  4. I find : “When overseas you learn more about your own country than you do the place you’re visiting.” to be so true. I remember being surprised that people outside of the US pay more attention to our politics than I do.

    1. yes! and it’s fun to see your home country through the lens of other countries – what they think we’re doing right or wrong, their stereotypes of us, etc…

  5. These made me smile and of course, after travelling for 40 years and exploring 65 countries, they resonate so well. Thank God for differences – cultures, languages, food and people – it makes everything so much richer.

    I’ve been living abroad for 3 years and it really makes me analyze my home country a lot more.
