Nicaragua: A Hidden Gem

One recent county that I had the privilege to visit, was Nicaragua!

I had an absolute blast and got to really immerse myself in the culture, test my spanish-speaking skills, and further my photography passion.

Along with getting to experience hiking in a cloud forest, planting mangrove trees, visiting old cathedrals, canoeing, we also donated much needed school supplies to a local village.

I do have to admit that my dad was worried about me going, however, I never felt scared or like my life was in danger when I was in this country. And seeing the children’s faces when we gave them ordinary objects like pencils and coloring books was beyond amazing and I wish my dad could have been there to experience it with me.

Don’t be scared when traveling abroad. Always take the risk.
